Shear Strength Cleveland is a photo essay that incorporates Cleveland's past strength through industry that has long been overlooked. David Liam Kyle captures abstract rustic geometric shapes of industry design in his photographs. The mechanical muscle that once was the strength of Cleveland that slowly turned to rusted steel. Using close-ups, dramatic lighting and different perspectives DLK captures the raw steel strength in artful compositions.

The Original Classic Hoop Collection™
by David Liam Kyle
There is a story behind every basketball hoop in America.
Over seventeen years ago, photographer David Liam Kyle began looking for those stories wherever he went. Today, Kyle – a former professional basketball player and nationally acclaimed photojournalist – has assembled those shots in his Classic Hoop Collection, an album containing outdoor backboards and rims attached to everything from weathered barns to ivy-strewn oak trees.
"This original Classic Hoop Collection represents the pure love of the game and just the game. Just you and your basketball. Just you and your friends.
It's not about Shaq's hoop or Michael's hoop. It's about your hoop. The place you played. The place where you felt tranquility. The place where you belonged. The place that felt like home.
I hope one of my hoop images will refresh your memory and bring a smile to your face as you recall your favorite hoop, because it's not only about your hoop dreams, it's about your hoop memories." DLK
